Extremely large and heavy-boned, the Mastiff is an ancient dog that dates all the way back to Roman times. They are athletic, muscular, and have powerful endurance. Their double coat has a dense undercoat and a straight, coarse outer coat and their expression is alert but kind. Dignified, they are often mistaken as aggressive dogs based purely on their size.
