Spaniel

The state dog of South Carolina, the Boykin Spaniel is a medium-sized retriever dog specializing in agility and stamina. They have strong and long jaws and a medium-length coat that repels water, colored in liver or solid-brown. Large, feathered ears give them a pensive-looking expression. They are smaller than other Spaniel breeds, bred to fit in a one-man boat. Their gait is effortless, and they are mellow indoors when they get enough mental and physical stimulation.
